Play4film's point of view: One of John Landis’ most entertaining films, for many this film marked Eddie Murphy’s best film performance. “Coming to America” is a non stop roller coaster ride of hilarious gags, contradictory situations and clumsy strokes of genius by Murphy who plays the lead as well as certain smaller parts. The story is that of an African prince who goes to New York in search of love and finds it in the form of Shari Headley. Unforgettable is the character of singer Randy Watson and his ‘Sexual Chocolate’.
