Ray Milland and Hedy Lamarr star in this interesting western in which intrigue, even if somewhat schematic, is more important than setting. Classic in the real sense of the word, where the good were on one side and the bad on the other, it has the charm of times gone by. John Villiers Farrow’s direction is competent if without flourishes.
